Web design, SEO and Google Ads that turn local searches into booked work
We build fast, accessible websites for US small businesses and run the SEO and Google Ads programmes that fill them. Fixed scopes, published prices, and accounts that stay in your name.
No obligation. You keep the audit either way — including the parts that say don't hire us.
Your free audit covers
- Speed & Core Web Vitals — what is costing you rankings and bounced visitors
- Search visibility — the terms you rank for, the ones your competitors own
- Conversion path — every point where an interested visitor gives up
- Ad account health — wasted spend, tracking gaps, missing negatives
- A ranked fix list — highest impact first, with effort estimates

The real problem
Most SMB websites don't fail loudly. They leak.
The site looks fine. Traffic looks flat. Nobody notices that two thirds of the people who were ready to buy left before they found the phone number.
Slow on the phone in a parking lot
Your customer is standing outside with one bar of signal. If the page takes four seconds, they are already back on Google looking at the competitor below you.
Invisible for the searches that matter
You rank for your own business name and nothing else. The high-intent phrases — the ones typed by people ready to pay today — belong to somebody who invested in them.
No idea which marketing works
Without conversion tracking you are guessing. Budget goes to whatever felt busy last month instead of whatever actually produced quoted, closed work.

How it runs
You will always know what happens next
Five stages, fixed scope, named people. No mystery invoices and no month where you wonder what you paid for.
Week 1
Discovery & audit
We start with your numbers, not our opinions. We review analytics, Search Console, ad accounts and the current site, interview whoever owns sales, and map how enquiries actually reach you today. You get a written audit listing what is losing you leads, ranked by impact and effort — yours to keep whether or not you hire us.
Week 1–2
Strategy & scope
The audit becomes a scope: page architecture, the conversion path for each audience, technical requirements, integrations and success metrics. Fees, milestones and acceptance criteria are fixed in writing before design starts, so there is no moving target and no surprise invoice.
Week 2–4
Design & copy
We design the pages that carry the most commercial weight first — usually home, the top service page and the contact path. You review real content in a real layout, not lorem ipsum. Two structured revision rounds are included, and we design mobile alongside desktop rather than after it.
Week 4–7
Build & QA
Clean semantic HTML, sensible CSS and only the JavaScript a page actually needs. Before launch every template goes through the same checklist: Core Web Vitals, keyboard and screen-reader accessibility, cross-browser rendering, form delivery, analytics and conversion tracking, redirects and structured data.
Why VCweb
Big-agency discipline without the agency games
Small and medium businesses are underserved from both directions: large agencies prioritise their enterprise accounts, and cheap providers ship a template and disappear. We built VCweb in the gap between the two — for owners who need the work done properly and need to understand what they are paying for.
- You own your accounts. Domain, hosting, Google Ads, Analytics, Search Console and Business Profile are in your name from day one, and deliverable ownership is spelled out in the contract.
- Published prices. Our starting figures are on the site, and they are the ones we quote from.
- No lock-in on retainers. SEO has a three-month minimum because nothing meaningful happens faster. After that, month to month.
- The people on the call do the work. Nothing is resold to an unnamed production shop.
- We will tell you not to buy. If a rebuild is not the right investment, the audit says so.
Built for the way US SMBs actually buy
A homeowner comparing three HVAC companies, a founder shortlisting law firms, a practice manager choosing a supplier — they all do the same thing. They search, they open three tabs, and they call whichever one answers their question fastest and looks most credible.
Everything we build is aimed at that moment: load fast, answer the question, make the next step obvious, and prove you are a real business with real people behind it.
Where we work
We work with businesses across the United States and understand the differences — the pace of the Northeast, the volume of California search competition, the relationship-led buying of the Midwest and South. Compliance obligations like CCPA and accessibility requirements are handled as part of the build, not billed as a surprise later.
Pricing

Website design that converts
Your website is the only salesperson you have working at 11pm on a Sunday. It should be the best-briefed one you employ.
Mobile-first, genuinely. The majority of local service searches happen on a phone, often on a poor connection. We design the small screen first and treat desktop as the enhancement, rather than shrinking a desktop layout and hoping.
Speed as a feature. We set a performance budget before the first line of code and hold the build to it. Fewer scripts, right-sized images, no bloated page builder inflating every template.
Accessibility as standard. Every template is tested against WCAG 2.2 AA for contrast, keyboard operation, focus visibility and screen-reader structure. It widens your market and reduces legal exposure at the same time.
Search that compounds, ads that pay back
Organic search is the asset; paid search is the accelerant. Most SMBs need both, in a specific order, and need to know what each one is producing.
SEO. Technical foundations first, then the pages that match real commercial intent, then content and links that build topical authority. We report on qualified traffic and enquiries, not vanity rankings for terms nobody searches.
Google Ads. Built in your account, managed against a cost-per-acquisition target you agree to in advance, with search-term hygiene reviewed continuously so your budget stops funding irrelevant clicks.
Measurement. Conversion tracking configured so you can verify every number yourself. Where deals close offline, we feed qualified-lead and closed-won data back into the account so bidding optimises toward revenue instead of form fills.
Straight answers
Questions we get on the first call
Our sites start at $3,500 for a Starter build of up to six pages, $7,500 for a Growth build with a CMS and blog, and $15,000 for e-commerce or custom functionality. The final figure depends on page count, how much copy we write, and integrations. You get a fixed-scope written quote before any work starts, and the published ranges on our pricing page are the same ones we quote from.
A Starter site typically takes four to five weeks, a Growth site six to eight, and custom or e-commerce work eight to sixteen. The largest variable is how quickly content and feedback come back from your side, so we schedule review windows into the plan and tell you immediately if a date is at risk.
The same small team you meet on the first call. Your Account and Strategy Lead stays with the project from discovery to reporting, working with a lead engineer, an SEO strategist, a paid media manager and a designer. We do not resell the engagement to a third-party production shop.
Your accounts and your data, yes — without exception. Domains, hosting, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Search Console and Google Business Profile are all created in or transferred to accounts you own, with you as the primary administrator, and if you leave you keep them along with the full history. Ownership of the creative deliverables themselves (layouts, code, copy) is set out explicitly in your statement of work; we assign what the contract says we assign and we do not hold files back to keep you.
Project work is governed by a fixed-scope statement of work with defined milestones. SEO carries a three-month minimum because meaningful results are not achievable faster than that, and then runs month to month. Google Ads management and Website Care plans have no lock-in and can be cancelled with 30 days notice.
Every retainer includes a monthly report tied to the KPIs agreed in the scoping stage — enquiries, cost per acquisition, qualified traffic and rankings, depending on the programme. Reports are written in plain language with the recommendation for the next month, and you keep live access to the underlying dashboards the whole time.
