Managed hosting & care

Managed website hosting and care you never have to think about

Managed cloud hosting with a 99.9% uptime target, daily off-site backups with tested restores, security patching, monitoring, and a named person who answers when you email.

From $95 per month. Migration onto our stack typically takes three to five business days, scheduled outside your busy hours.

What you get

  • A 99.9% monthly uptime target, monitored and alerted
  • Daily off-site backups with restores tested periodically
  • Security patching applied on a defined schedule
  • SSL provisioned and renewed automatically
  • A named contact who knows your site
  • Monthly content and copy updates included

Hosting is invisible until the day it is not. Then it is the only thing that matters, and the difference between an hour of downtime and a week of it is entirely down to whether somebody prepared in advance.

A Website Care plan puts that preparation in place: monitored infrastructure, backups that have actually been restored from, patches applied on a schedule, and a support path that does not start with a ticket queue in another time zone.

Scope

What's included

The exact mix is set from your audit, and whatever we agree is written into the scope before work starts.

  • Periodic restore testing — a backup you have never restored is a hypothesis
  • Security patching for the platform and dependencies
  • Malware scanning and firewall rules
  • Documented incident response path

Support

  • A named point of contact, not a shared inbox
  • Requests acknowledged within one business day
  • Availability and security issues treated as urgent

  • Plain-language explanation of anything that went wrong

From experience

What a real backup policy looks like

Almost every host advertises backups. Far fewer can tell you the recovery point objective — how much work you lose in the worst case — or the recovery time objective, meaning how long you are down while it is restored. Fewer still have restored one recently enough to know the process works.

We keep backups off the machine that hosts the site, because a backup stored on the same server is not a backup, it is a copy. Restores are exercised periodically rather than assumed. And every plan documents what gets recovered, from where, and roughly how long it takes — before you ever need it.

Patching works the same way. Updates get applied on a schedule with a staging pass first, so a plugin change does not silently break a checkout on a Friday afternoon. Security releases move faster than that, because the trade-off is different.

Who this is for

  • Anyone who has ever lost a site and had no recent backup
  • Businesses without in-house technical staff
  • Clients who want one accountable party for the whole stack
  • Sites we did not build but that need proper care

Not sure this is the right starting point? The free audit exists to answer exactly that, and how we measure results explains what we would report on.

When we'd tell you no

We can usually take on a site we did not build, but not always. We run a short technical review first — platform, dependencies, plugin health, security posture — and if something needs remediating before migration we will quote that separately rather than absorb an unknown risk quietly.

We would rather lose a sale than take on work that will not pay for itself. See how an engagement runs and what it costs before you decide.

Managed cloud hosting with SSL, daily off-site backups with periodically tested restores, security patching, malware and uptime monitoring with alerting, and a monthly allowance of content and copy updates handled by a named contact.

We target 99.9% monthly availability excluding scheduled maintenance, which is announced in advance and run outside US business hours. If we fall short, the specific remedy is set out in your service agreement rather than buried in fine print.

Usually yes. We run a short technical review first — platform, dependencies, plugin health and security posture — and tell you honestly what we can support and what would need remediation before migration.

Care plan requests are acknowledged within one business day, and anything affecting availability or security is treated as urgent and picked up immediately during business hours. Response and resolution targets are written into your plan.

  • Transparent pricing before any commitment
  • No obligation and no sales pressure
