Pricing

What web design, SEO and Google Ads cost with us

These are the numbers we quote from. Every project starts from one of the figures below, every retainer bills at or above the rate shown, and the written proposal you receive fixes the final number before a single hour is billed.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax where applicable. Media spend on Google Ads is separate and paid by you, directly to Google.

One-time projects

Website design and development

Three starting points, chosen by how much of your business the site has to carry. Each figure is a floor, not an average — we scope from it, then tell you in writing what your build actually costs before you commit.

Typically 4–5 weeks · up to 6 pages

  • Up to 6 custom-designed pages
  • Mobile-first responsive build
  • On-page SEO and metadata setup
  • Contact and quote forms with spam protection
  • Google Analytics 4 and conversion tracking

Ask what this would cost you

Custom & E-commerce

From $15,000 one-time project

Scoped per project · 8–16 weeks

Best for: E-commerce, booking systems, portals and bespoke integration work.

  • Everything in Growth Site
  • E-commerce, booking or portal functionality
  • Custom integrations and API work
  • Migration from an existing platform
  • Performance budget and load testing
  • Staff training and documentation
  • 90 days of post-launch support
Ask what this would cost you

Not sure which band you are in? A single-location business with one core offer usually fits inside Starter Site. If you sell several services or work across several towns, you need the service and location page templates that start in Growth Site. Anything transactional — checkout, booking, a customer portal — starts in Custom & E-commerce. The web design service page explains what we build in each case, and the free audit tells you which one your situation actually calls for.

Scoping

What moves the price

Six things account for almost every difference between the starting figure and the final quote. None of them are discovered halfway through — they are settled during scoping, which is stage two of our process.

Page count and templates

A page is cheap once its template exists. Twelve service pages sharing one template cost far less than four pages that each need their own layout. We count templates and unique layouts, not URLs, and tell you which pages are genuinely worth designing separately.

Who writes the copy

Conversion copywriting for key pages is included from Growth Site upward. If you supply finished copy the build gets cheaper; if you want us to interview your sales team and write every service and location page from scratch, that is the single largest variable in most quotes.

Integrations

A contact form posting to email is standard. Pushing leads into a CRM, syncing a booking calendar, wiring up call tracking or talking to a field-service system is custom work, and the cost depends far more on the quality of the other system's API than on our side.

Migration complexity

Moving 40 pages with clean URLs is routine. Moving 900 pages of legacy content with duplicate URLs, dead redirects and rankings worth protecting is a workstream of its own: URL inventory, one-to-one redirect mapping and post-launch monitoring in Search Console.

E-commerce and transactions

Anything that takes money or a booking adds payment handling, tax and shipping rules, stock logic, order emails and a longer QA cycle. Product count matters less than the number of rules behind the products — twenty configurable items can outweigh a thousand simple ones.

Content and asset volume

Photography, staff bios, case studies, PDFs and 200 legacy blog posts all have to be collected, edited, compressed and placed. Where content already exists in good shape this is quick. Where it has to be gathered from four people who are busy, it is the thing that moves timelines as well as cost.

No line item, ever

What we never charge for

Plenty of agencies bill for the sales process, then bill again for the privilege of leaving. We do not. The list on the right is not a promotion or an introductory offer — it is how the business is set up, and it is written into the agreement you sign.

The most important item is the last one. Your domain, hosting, Google Ads, Analytics, Search Console and Business Profile are created in or transferred to accounts you own, with you as primary administrator. If you decide to leave, we remove our access and everything — including the historical data — stays exactly where it is.

How we work and who does it →

  • The discovery call. Thirty minutes, no cost, no obligation, and we will tell you on it if we are the wrong fit.
  • The written audit. Delivered as a document you keep whether or not you hire us.
  • The proposal. Scope, milestones, acceptance criteria and a fixed fee, prepared at no charge.
  • Revisions inside the agreed two rounds. Structured feedback rounds are part of the design fee, not an extra.
  • Accessibility testing. Every template is checked against WCAG 2.2 AA as part of QA, never billed as an add-on.
  • Markup on media spend. You pay Google directly. We take no percentage, visible or hidden.
  • Handing over your accounts. No offboarding fee, no release charge, no holding files hostage.

Post-launch support — 30, 60 or 90 days depending on the package — is included in the project fee as well. See the full FAQ for what that window covers.

Terms

How billing works

Simple terms, stated before you sign. Invoices are issued by email and payable on receipt by card or ACH transfer.

What When you pay Commitment
Website projects Deposit to book the work in, balance on launch Fixed-scope statement of work agreed in writing first, with fees, milestones and acceptance criteria set before design starts
SEO Program Monthly in advance Three-month minimum, then month to month — meaningful results are not achievable faster than that
Google Ads Management Monthly in advance, management fee only Ad spend is billed by Google to your own card. No lock-in; 30 days notice to stop
Website Care Monthly in advance No minimum term — 30 days notice to cancel, so hosting can be moved cleanly
Work outside the agreed scope Quoted and approved in writing before it starts Nothing is added to an invoice that you have not seen and accepted first

Why the three-month minimum on SEO

Technical fixes can move things within weeks, but rankings and organic pipeline in a competitive category take three to six months to shift. A one-month SEO engagement can only produce activity, not outcomes — so we ask for three, and then run month to month so the programme has to keep earning its place. There is no minimum on Google Ads Management or Website Care.

Why media spend never touches our invoice

When an agency marks up ad spend, its incentive is to grow your budget rather than your return. Ours is not: the management fee is flat, Google bills you directly, and the targets we are measured against are the cost-per-acquisition and return-on-ad-spend figures agreed before launch. You can verify every number yourself in your own account — see how we report.

Pricing questions

What people ask before they sign

Because an honest exact price needs to know your page count, who writes the copy, what has to be integrated and what is being migrated. What we can publish honestly is the floor — the number we quote from — and we do. Nobody is quoted below the figures on this page, and the fixed fee in your proposal is set before any work begins, so the range narrows to a single number after one 30-minute call and an audit rather than after an invoice.

Yes, and for a lot of businesses it is the right call. A common sequence is to build the highest-value pages first, launch, then add location or service templates and the blog in a second phase once the first is producing enquiries. Each phase gets its own fixed scope and its own invoice, so you are never committing budget to work you have not yet decided to do.

Project fees are split — a deposit to book the work in and the balance on launch, or a milestone schedule on longer builds, which spreads the fee across the delivery period at no extra cost. Whichever applies, the amounts and the dates are written into the statement of work before design starts, so nothing is due that you have not already agreed. We do not run financing or interest-bearing arrangements: if the total is beyond your budget right now, phasing the scope is a more sensible answer than borrowing against it.

We quote it, you approve it in writing, and only then does it enter the build. Small additions absorbed inside the existing scope are simply done. Anything that adds a template, an integration or a revision round beyond the agreed two is priced separately and shown to you before work starts, so a change request never arrives as a surprise line on the final invoice.

Get the number for your project

Tell us what you are trying to fix and we will give you a written audit and a fixed-scope quote — one figure, with everything it includes listed underneath it. If the honest answer is that your budget is better spent somewhere other than a rebuild, the audit will say so.

  • A written audit of your site, SEO and ad account
  • A prioritised list of fixes, ranked by impact
  • Transparent pricing before any commitment
  • No obligation and no sales pressure
